put it before them briefly so they will read it, clearly so they will appreciate it, picturesquely so they will remember it, and above all, accurately so they will be guided by its light.

on DIY

i think the part that throws me off is the "Y" in diy. what's a term that refers to a group effort?

in related news, my half-aced armoire stain job finally bugged me enough and i hired a finish guy to, well, finish it. i told him to please take his time; well, he must have really wanted to get paid because he brought it over still tacky and reeking of polyurethane. i'm still undecided on it but it's a definite improvement over my crap job last month.

snippet of conversation i had with a coworker:

"walmart has nuthin' on craigslist for classy one stop shopping! i mean, where else can you get a job, a couch, and find someone to make out with on said couch after going to said job?!"

to tell you the truth, i am not 100% sold on the color, but hey. it was a whim, i had the can of paint (it was the original color of my living room accent wall before i asked the developer's crew to switch it). i think i want to move the ikea sticks and do a little art/photo wall with metal trivets, framed photos, and small postcards or prints up nearly to the ceiling.

what do you guys think?
